Parent /Carer Hub

The school has an open door policy and welcomes parents into school. However, as some pupils find any new face in school distracting and sometimes even distressing, it is important to discuss visits in advance.

It is appreciated when parents telephone to make a mutually convenient appointment, if they wish to see a specific member of staff to discuss a particular issue.

If a parent requests a paper copy of the information on your school’s website, this will be provided free of charge.

The School has a parents group that meet and the school has affiliated to the Reading Families Forum (RFF) www.readingfamiliesforum.co.uk

The school communicates with parents using a text messaging service Teachers2Parents. and on Twitter. Any unexpected closures of the whole school or class will be notified early to parents using these systems. It is therefore important that school has up to date contact details and mobile numbers for all parents and carers.

Parents and carers can give their views of our school at any time during the school year and at the time of a school inspection using an online questionnaire called Parent View.

When our school is notified of its next Ofsted inspection, parents will be invited to give their views about the school to inspectors using the Parent View online facility, as this has replaced Ofsted’s paper questionnaire. Please make sure we have your most up-to-date contact details.

Please register with an email address and a password at https://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/

Once your login has been activated, it only takes a few minutes to answer 12 short questions about aspects such as bullying, the quality of teaching, the level of homework set, etc.

Your views are important in helping inspectors make a decision about our school, and to help us know what is going well and what could be improved.

If you do not have a computer or an email address, or if you would like help using Parent View, please come into school and ask at reception.
