The Avenue Special School is looking for creative, motivational, and inspiring professionals.

Our vibrant and friendly school community supports more than 250 pupils, aged between 3-19, with a range of severe or profound learning difficulties, some physical disabilities and autism.

We have small, well-resourced classes and a real passion for supporting young people to have active and healthy lives through an exciting education both in and out of the classroom.

 We are currently recruiting for the following positions:-

FULL AND PART-TIME LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANTS - details can be found in the LSA vacancies section.  Start as soon as possible; subject to references and enhanced DBS checks.   Ongoing applications welcome. 

CLASS TEACHERS - We are looking for Class Teachers to join us in September 2025.  We welcome applications from both mainstream and Special Education Needs colleagues as well as ECT teachers or experienced educators.  Further details can be found in the Teaching  Vacancy section.
